What Banco needs

A syntax failure (the first two) is the bad kind: the browser refuses to parse the whole script block, so a screen arrives blank rather than degraded. The rest just look wrong.

Storage — can a shelf-intake session survive?

Shelf intake keeps your progress in localStorage. If that is blocked (private browsing, or a browser set to clear on exit) an interrupted session really would be lost.
